My exercise and fitness journey started with gymnastics at age five before quickly falling in love with dance at age 7. By the time I was 11 years old, I was dancing nearly 20 hours a week between the studio, competitions and conventions.

Because I have exercise-induced asthma, I must be very careful about the cardiovascular output I give in any workout. That stopped me from participating in more traditional workouts throughout life. After I had my child, I realized I could focus on the thing I really love: feeling STRONG! Enter GLSC!

I joined the gym via the Individualized Design program in May 2024 and quickly made connections with coaches and members which kept me coming back. I’ve truly fallen in love with this gym and the community of coaches and members here. I started working in the office at the end of 2024, and you’ll see me having meetings with prospective members, answering your emails and texts, fixing attendances, and answering general questions (with a healthy dose of goofing off) around the gym. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me! If I don’t know the answer, I’ll find someone who does.

Favorite Movement: Box squat because it’s one of my strongest lifts and I love how powerful they make me feel.

Least Favorite Movement: Bulgarian split squats – So effective and SO AWFUL

My motivation as a GLSC coach: To help new and existing members feel seen, heard, and met with kindness and openness. I want you to know that we will meet you where you are and do what we can to help you get where you want to go. For a lot of people, the gym is a vulnerable and scary place where they confront discomfort and big feelings. I want our members to know that it is a safe place to experience those things, and that we’ve got you – even when it feels really ugly.

Credentials & Certifications: None yet, but that will change before too long if Johnathon has anything to say about it.
