Who is this for?
The sport of Olympic Weightlifting can be challenging and intimidating. But it can also be extremely rewarding. Training the snatch, clean and jerk can improve your power, speed, strength, flexibility and more. Weightlifting training is for anyone and everyone. Whether you are a novice picking up a barbell for the first time or an experienced lifter looking to up your game, this is for you!
Joe Barbell’s experience
Originally from Chicago, Coach Joe cut his coaching chops in Brooklyn, NY from 2009 to 2021. As the head coach of multiple barbell clubs throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan he cultivated several nationally competitive weightlifters, including both national and international medalists. With extensive experience teaching the sport of weightlifting to individuals of all ages and experience levels. I am certified through USA Weightlifting as an Advanced Sports Performance Coach as well as a CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting Traveling Seminar Staff member. Additionally, I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS-NSCA) as well as a CrossFit Level 3 certified coach.
We have availability in our weekly classes every Saturday at 1:00PM.
