Meet Jen! A little about Jen her own words:
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m Jen! I’m from a cozy little town called Gig Harbor, Washington—if you’ve never heard of it, don’t worry, neither has anyone else. I went to the University of Washington and now work as a product manager at Zillow, which basically means I talk about houses all day. I’ve been doing CrossFit on and off since 2017, just long enough to wonder why I’m not better at it. Fun fact? I used to like running… back when I was young and believed in things like “hope” and “knee cartilage.” Now my cardio of choice is a good scroll through TikTok.
2. How long have you been a member of GLSC?
NWCF was my very first weightlifting experience before I joined a box in Pioneer Square so I was happy to come back to the gym in 2022 when my partner and I moved to Greenwood.
3. How has being a part of the gym benefitted you?
Well, for starters, my butt? Absolutely bigger. Plus, the crushing weight of my existential dread has lightened just a tad, so that’s nice.
4. What is your favorite movement or workout?
Snatches.
5. What is your favorite music or pump up song?
The Law & Order theme song – dun dunnnn.
6. Why do you like taking the strength cycle classes?
Shhhhh. What’s strength cycle? Never heard of it.
