Indoor open gym is back!

We’re pleased to announce that indoor open gym is back, starting Monday, Feb 1. King county is entering Phase 2 in Washington state, so we’re allowed to have more capacity indoors.

Open gym = independent or follow along

You have the option in the open gym spots to do your own programming or follow along with the class. If you’re planning to follow along with the class, just let the coach know at the beginning of class. Coaches will still primarily coach to the stations in the main gym, but you’re welcome to step into the main gym to listen to instructions and then return to your open gym station to do the workout.

Open gym = on deck

Open gym can also be used as an “on deck” position for the classes. If you’re signed up for open gym, and someone doesn’t make it to the class, you’re welcome to take their spot in the main gym.

Masks still required!

Masks are still required at all times indoors, whether in the main gym or open gym. Masks are only optional while you’re outside in one of our five fully outdoor stations (three in the parking lot, two along 70th St).

Doors will remain open

The garage doors will remain open. While we could legally run classes indoors, you’d be required to keep masks on, and it would be higher risk for COVID. We’ve polled you in the past, and it seems like you overwhelmingly agree with this decision.

And more vaccine news!

We are excited to see that our members are starting to get their vaccines. Here’s a picture of Paul Aoki, one of our longest-tenure and most consistent members, getting his vaccine last week. For those of you who work out at 7am, he’s the person on the other side of the Zoom call EVERY morning. Paul, we can’t wait to see you back in person! <3

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

We know there have been a lot of changes to schedules, rules, etc. We really appreciate all your patience – we know it’s confusing and frustrating to have rules changing all the time. Hang in there, and we will get through this together!

Gratefully,

Kate and Nate, co-owners
